wooooooo home from schoolies!!

man, that was super fun. like, five of my friends and me spent a week chilling in a cabin on the beach, swimming and fucking around and playing video games and board games and being dumbass kids. it was well excellent, even with the small inevitable dramas that occurred.

so the thing is, I haven't been online since uhhhh like last monday. which is a whole week, which means I'm going to have to spend like a day catching up with everything fffff

vaguely poking at the idea of making an ~*~introductory post~*~ to shove at the top of my lj (not that I can ever make that feature work, whenever one post is all stickied to the top of my lj, nothing I try to post after that works, all ~*~oooh, wrong date~*~ fuck you bitch). I mean, idk, my lj is completely public I think? so it probably doesn't matter, I guess if someone met me online and was all ooh I wonder what she's like or whatever they could just read through my lj, but that's really boring. whenever I see people on lj that I want to know more about, I check their profile (mine has....a poem that I like, a link to my comm, and an amazing picture from the halloween meme that I haven't removed. I don't think I even ever filled out an interests list), or see if they have an intro post, and if they don't I just read a few entries down and then wander away.

in the end I have no idea why I'm making this post. I'm just kinda bored and rambley. might go watch loveless for a bit idk.

can I just say, I love when, in fics, draco malfoy has ended up working in some teeny tiny department in the ministry for peanuts. now if only I could remember more about the one that had him working in, um, wow, I really can't remember, but I think his office was in the basement, but like, maybe it was filing, or something, something to do with forms to be filled out, and everyone was filling them out wrong, of course, and harry kept taking him biscuits and helping him with the filing and I think draco kept taking his shoes off and wearing jeans, if I could remember what that one was called and where I found it, I could die happy.


edit: okay this fic I'm reading right now is amazing. draco seems to be working in the Office for the Volumetric Standardisation of Edible Wizarding Greengrocery Produce. this fic is basically making my day a billionty times better than it was ten minutes ago, for realsies.

another edit: I seriously love the idea that the ministry has a thousand tiny little departments, all for the stupidest little things. some days when I'm feeling crap I start coming up with names for some of the departments that probably have all of one person working in them, and it never fails to make me smile. good times.

I have eaten a ridiculous amount of cherries lately. my grandma brought us a massive bag of them the other day, and we just put them all in this bowl, and they're super rad, for seriousies.

ugh okay the worst part about wanting to do podfics is writing to the author for permission. I started writing an email, but man, seriously, everything I wrote sounded creepy and terrible. maybe I'll just do logic puzzles today haha;;

also today I randomly bought the gravitation anime. it was sitting in the shop all lonely and like less than half the price of the other anime series -- serieses? -- so I decided to grab it. then I had four dollars for dinner hahahaha well done, me.

so....been kinda bored lately. not the kind of bored where I lie on the floor and stare and the ceiling and go WHAT NOW, HUH??? just the kind where I bum around on the internet reading really long, fairly mediocre h/d fic all day or go waste all my money on anime or movies or smoothies and lemon-lime tarts at the mall. the kind where I mostly have nothing to do, I guess. it's weird not having a routine for every day. it's kinda hard to get into my head that hello I have no schedule now. it's like...idk, it's like those stupid two-week holidays we get where by the end I'm stark raving mad and sit around in my underwear re-reading fantasy books and reminiscing about when I first read them and was frankly too young to be reading them, they're full of torture and rape and death, but it's not like people ever read them before buying them for me, it was more "oh look, dragons, megan likes those". it's like those holidays, only it could go forever which is really weird.

oh high school, I miss you already.

what else. oh, speaking of boredom. I've been doing random things to combat it. I applied to be a poster at a music sharing community, fingers crossed I get that. I've been doing terrible fandubs of anime theme songs hahaha people quite like them, I honestly have no idea why, but it's pretty hilarious. um, what else? oh yeah, the fact that I'm doing these fandubs is because I just bought this headset thing, not super fancy, it's like a third of the price of some of the ones that were at the shop, but it was still kinda pricey :( but yeah anyway so I have this thing, so now I think I might do some podfic? like, record fic? idk, I think I have a good reading voice, and it's fun to do that kind of thing.

also yes I know. I should get off my ass and stop being on hiatus if I'm so bored, that's what you're thinking, I should get back into rp.
